Petruzzelli Accepts Scholarship to U of Vermont

Anthony Petruzzelli was offered and has accepted a scholarship to the University of Vermont to play in their Division 1 Men's ice Hockey program, beginning with the 2014-15 season.

Zach Albers off to Becker College

Former Sno-King player Zach Albers had a great season with Maple Grove Energy of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. He scored 30 goals in 42 games and is off to Becker College of the ECAC college hockey league.

After being the smallest kid on the team until his junior year in high school Zach now stands at 6'3 and weighs 200 pounds!

He is a great example of what can happen to a player that never gives up! Congratulations Zach!

Sno-King Alumni Stuart Pomeroy Commits to Princeton

April 2012

Stuart Pomeroy has committed to attending Princeton University. He plans to finish up his youth hockey with Culver Academy and then spend a season with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL.

Princeton has a proud tradition in the Pomeroy family. Stuart's father Lindsay played four years of varsity hockey and his mother Carol was captain of the swim team as well as an Olympian rower ('76 Bronze medal)!

Sno-King has a long history of moving players on to the next level.

We wish Stuart all the best with his hockey and academic future

Mellissa Channell named to CDN 18u team

Congratulations to Sno-King alumni Mellissa Channell who was named to the Hockey Canada 18u 2011-12 team.

McHugh Drafted by Fargo Force of USHL

 

Congratulations to Max McHugh on being Drafted in the 4th round by the Fargo Force of the USHL. Max played this past season with the Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL.







 

Pomeroy Chosen 19th Overall in the USHL Draft

Stuart Pomeroy was drafted 19th overall by the Lincoln Stars in the recent USHL draft. Stuart played for many years with Sno-King before the family moved to the Chicago area. He was also recently invited to attend one of USA Hockey's National Development team evaluation camps. Congratulations to Stuart!



 

Gerling and Smutek Earn Hockey Scholarships to University of Connecticut!

Former Sno-King players Trevor Gerling and Skyler Smutek have both received scholarships from the University of Connecticut. Trevor played this past season for the Langley Chiefs and Skyler for the Quesnel Millionaires of the BCHL. They were both Captains of their respective Junior A teams. Congratualtions and Good Luck with your College Hockey Careers!

 

Healy and Jones selected for USA Hockey National Camp

Sean Healy and Chris Jones are heading to the USA Hockey National camp in July.

Sean played last season on the Bantam Major team and is one of only two goalies from the Pacific District to be invited.

Chris played last season on the Bantam Minor team.

Congratuations to Chris and Sean.


 

LeLievre and Sosa Drafted in WHL Bantam Draft

Congratulations to Brad LeLievre and Daniel Sosa who were both drafted today in the WHL Bantam Draft. Brad and Daniel played last season on the Bantam 95 joint team.

Brad was drafted by the Seattle Thunderbirds and Daniel was drafted by the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
