The HYLA offers the following lacrosse options for girls living in or attending school in the Hopkins School District (which includes all of Hopkins and parts of Minnetonka, St Louis Park, Golden Valley, Eden Prairie, Plymouth and Edina). The idea is to play for the Youth Association that is a feeder program for the high school you plan to attend, be it Hopkins HS, Edina HS, Minnetonka HS, Blake, Breck or Benilde.

 

2017 COED Try Lacrosse BEGINNERS CLINIC...

There will be a two session Try Lacrosse Clinic at Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center main gym on Sun, Feb 19 & 26 from 12:30-2pm on Hwy 7 in Hopkins. The fee is $19 per player and all loaner equipment is included. This is a skill development clinic for beginner boys and girls in grades 2-7th and is sponsored by Hopkins Community Ed and staffed by Hopkins youth coaches and high school coaches/players.

2017 K-2nd Grade Girls Player Development Program...
K-2nd Grade Player Development Program...We are offering a K-2nd grade girls Player Development Program one day a week on Sundays starting in mid April and ending in May. Each session will consist of basic skills training with scrimmages to develop the skills needed to play at the next level (spring girls field lacrosse season) in 2018. 2017 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 Grade Girls Field Lacrosse Team Registration...

Spring Girls Lax Registration: Registration for the combined SLP/Hopkins Girls Youth Lacrosse Spring Program for 3-4th, 5-6th and Hopkins 7-8th graders is open. To register and get more details, click on the REGISTER HERE button on the www.HopkinsLax.org website and click on the "CHOOSE" button and a drop-down menu will give you all the options. Simply click on the program you want to register for.

Here is a list of all the Girls Youth Lacrosse opportunities offered by the Hopkins Youth Lacrosse Association and the coop program we run with St Louis Park. To register for any of the Hopkins run programs you will need to go to the REGISTER HERE button on the home page. The registration information will be posted 1-2 mouths prior to the start of each season.

Girls Equipment (stick, protective goggles, and mouth guard) can be purchased new at Dicks (Mtka) and Northstar Lax (Main St in Hopkins) or used at Play it Again. I believe we are have a 15% discount Day comng up at Dicks on March 17th (10am-4pm). For more info see the “Equipment Tips” page on this website. Beginner equipment costs vary between $150-$300
SUMMER 2016...

HOPKINS COMMUNITY ED BOYS & GIRLS CO-ED Camp Royal for K-86h grade Summer  
INTRO TO LACROSSE CLINIC SESSIONS...

WHERE: Eisenhower Elem School fields or gym (weather permitting)
WHEN: Mon-Thurs, June 8-11 2015

TIMES: K-3rd Graders 9am-12Noon, 4-6th Graders 1pm-4pm.

GRADE LEVELS: The clinic sessions are open to k-6th grade students from the Hopkins Schools. It is a low cost and fun way to introduce your child to the sport of lacrosse for one week in the summer. 
COST: $79. Sticks will be supplied, so no equipment needs to be purchased. Instructor: TBA

Girls SLP/Hopkins Summer Field League
Teams are formed at the 3-4th, 5-6th and 7-8th grade levels.
1-2 practices and games on local school grass/turf fields during the week late May-July (no weekends). Away games take place in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. Registrations take place online in April-May (No Tryouts Are Required) and the fee is around $225-$250 per player.

Girls Summer Travel Tournament teams (MN Elite, Team MN)
Teams are formed at the U13 and U15 age levels for girls and boys
1-2 practices a week and weekend games at local & national tournaments June-August.
Registrations take place online in May-June. Tryouts Are Required and fees vary ($500-$1500 +).

One 1 hr long game a week, no practices, at local fields late Aug,Sept, Mid Oct.
