Spring Season 2018
After 43 years of baseball at Dunwoody Park, Spring 2018 will be our inaugural season at our new fields. Located at Peachtree Charter Middle School, map our new home boasts two artificial turf fields, state-of-the art lighting and a modern, spacious field house & concession plaza.
The Spring Season runs from late-April to mid-June and is one of five programs we offer at the park. It consists of a Lower League (54/80) for ages 13-15 and an Upper League (60/90) for ages 15-18. Other programs include our Middle School League, which starts in mid-February and runs through late-April, a Summer Wood Bat League for ages 18-29, and a Fall League which runs from Labor Day to early November. In addition, DSB is proud to host the DSB Diablos, five travel teams that make their home with us.
Information on our Spring League:
High School Players Welcome
We run our league so that kids playing on high school JV and 9th grade teams can participate. Most JV seasons are over before we get started.
Plan Your Summer Vacations
Plan on the season running as late as June 15. We do this with the intent that our playoffs will not conflict with finals for most schools, but it also means that families should delay those trips to the beach until later in June.
Program
We will have leagues for 13-15 (Lower League) and 15-18 year olds (Upper League). A player’s league age is their age as of April 30, 2018. 14 year olds who are playing for their high school teams will also be allowed to play in the Upper League
Fees/Uniforms
Individual player registration fees are $300. Players will be provided shirts and hats. Players are expected to provide their own baseball pants and socks.
Special Note on Bats for 2018: All bats, except one-piece wood bats, must have a USA Baseball stamp. USA Approved Bat List
Special Note on the new fields: No metal cleats are allowed. Please use turf (synthetic) cleats, or tennis shoes. Also, no gum, seeds, or unshelled peanuts (no shells).
Team fees are $2,100. Teams are expected to provide their own uniforms.
Additional Support to DSB for Scholarships
DSB offers scholarships to those players that might not otherwise be able to participate in one of our programs. To help with that, we are requesting that each family contribute an additional $25 or more as part of the registration process. If your company would like to advertise and support DSB by purchasing a banner, you may contact our President, Jerry Weiner at (404) 791-1841 or by email at jerryweiner@comcast.net or our Treasurer, John Crawford at (678) 358-5377 or by e-mail at

Registration
Register and pay on-line. When registering, please provide as much relevant information as possible in the “Notes” section of the form so we know your players’s situation (for example -- how many years they have played before, if they played travel ball, if they’re playing school ball now, etc.) It is very easy and if you have played at DSB, MCLL or Morgan Falls, your data may already be there.

Evaluations for Lower League Players
These are mandatory. Report at your scheduled time ready to play ball. If you cannot attend but plan to play, contact the League Director, Vince Carozza (see below) beforehand. In the event of inclement weather, check this web site for more information.
Volunteers
We always need volunteers to coach teams. If you are interested in coaching or helping in any other way, please contact our League Director, Vince Carozza, or our Executive Director, Angel Bonet.
