Can someone that has never played lacrosse register for a team?
VC Vikings Youth Lacrosse welcomes new players each season and urges everyone to come out and give lacrosse a try. We take new players and work very closely with them to ensure that they learn the skills necessary to be successful. Once you start playing, you'll be hooked!
Why does my child have to be a member of US Lacrosse?
US Lacrosse is the governing body of the sport of lacrosse. Without US Lacrosse membership, your child would not have insurance coverage needed to participate in lacrosse activities required by VC Vikings Youth Lacrosse and the school disctricts to use their fields. The US Lacrosse membership fee covers a full year of lacrosse. This fee includes membership, insurance, and a subscription to the the organization's magazine.
I have a current US Lacrosse number, but I am still being asked to renew. Why?
US Lacrosse numbers have to remain valid for the entire duration of our season. For example, if your US Lax # expires in March, since our season ends in June, you will be prompted to renew your membership with US Lacrosse.
Registration is closed, I have entered my child on the waitlist, now what?:
The waitlist is a first come, first serve method of keeping track of players who are interested in a closed or filled program. Once registration is closed, our coaches will determine how many teams we can accommodate at each age level and try to fit in as many players as possible. We will notify all waitlisted players if we are OR are not able to welcome them into our program. While we regret having to turn away interested players, we simply cannot keep up with the growing demand while still providing a quality program.
Regular Season - A full refund of program fees shall be granted if requested no later than March 1st. A 50% refund shall be granted if requested after March 1st, but prior to the first practice of the season.
VC Vikings Youth Lacrosse will not issue any refunds after the start of practice and/or instruction sessions. Registration refunds are subject to a $15 processing fee. Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail (
). Only VC Vikings Youth Lacrosse fees will be refunded. U.S. Lacrosse membership fees and any fees associated with online registration through LeagueAthletics.com will not be refunded. In addition, injuries are a part of all sports at any level and are not considered as a reason for a refund, except within the dates and for the amounts shown in the guidelines above.
