Youth lacrosse has seen significant growth.  Kingsway Youth Lacrosse Association hopes to foster that growth in our area.  We have programs available for all age groups from 6 to 15.
Players of all skill levels are invited to join KYLA.

All teams are travel teams and are available for different skill levels.  Players need full lacrosse equipment, which is NOT supplied by KYLA.  Equipment can be purchased any many local sporting goods stores or lacrosse specialty stores.  Also, keep a eye on our "Exchange" page for buy/swap of used equipment.  If anyone needs help with equipment let us know by emailing kingswayyouthlacrosse@gmail.com. The US Lacrosse Equipment guide, which explains the required equipment, can be accessed here

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When does practice start?
A: Practices will start about March 1st. The weather will play a role in when we can get on the fields.

Q: Where do practices take place?
A: Since we have several boys and girls teams, practice fields are located at Shady Lane (Clarksboro), High Hill (Swedesboro) and Locke Ave (Swedesboro). Practice field assignments will be provided in February.

Q: How often are practices? A: Practices are often held on weeknights 2-3 times per week for 1-1.5 hours dependent upon age and level.

Q: When are games?
A: The game schedule will not be out until mid-March, but games may be played on weeknights and on both Saturdays and Sundays, depending on age and level.

Q: How are teams determined? A: In many U-levels, we have more children than one team. At the beginning of the season, skill evaluations will be held and players placed on either the A- or B-level team based on ability.

Q: Can my child play lacrosse and baseball (or soccer, etc.)?
A: Playing two sports simultaneously will not keep a child from being registered and joining a lacrosse team. Please consider the practice and game schedules between the two sports.  The player’s and team’s development is dependent on attendance at practices and games.  The players demonstrating the most commitment to the team may see more playing time because of this.

Q: When do I need my equipment?
A: You will need all equipment to participate in tryouts, practices and games.  Tyrouts generally occur in mid January-February.  Practices begin early March and games begin late March.

Q: Where do I get equipment?
Goods stores offer lacrosse equipment, here are a few: all Dick's Sporting Goods, Play it Again Sports in Woodbury, Lacrosse Unlimited in Cherry Hill.

Q. How can I learn more about lacrosse? A: Please check out the link for USLacrosse on our website to learn more.
