Spring 2021 Season!

Anticipated Divisions:

Due to coming out of COVID, we are unsure what age/skill divisions there will be, but we will divide into divisions that make the most sense based on registrations.




General Info:


The tentative schedule (subject to change) is below:





  • Gyms most likely ones we had in the past - Madison, Marshall HS, South Lakes HS, Justice HS, and Jackson MS.  Others may also be used as needed. 
  • Rosters and schedules will be sent no later than the Thursday before Opening Night. Teams are scheduled to play at least 9 games, which includes playoff games.
  • All games will be played on Sundays from 4 to 9pm start times.



Season Costs

Per Player Registration


Want to try Legends but don't have a lot of $?  No problem, we want to make it happen for you!  Your first season registration is HALF PRICE! (just $90!)  How can you go wrong?  Then in subsequent seasons, join with a team to get lower costs - See Team Registrations below!


Regular costs include a $179 registration fee and a one-time $70 uniform cost for first-season players.  These high quality uniforms are used from season to season, and only need to be purchased once. 


A $20 out-of-county fee will also be charged for non-Fairfax County residents. This is a requirement of the county because the facilities being used are paid for by Fairfax County tax dollars.  Legends subsidizes this fee for you, as the county charges Legends $35.


If registering late (see late date on registration), there is an additional $35 late fee.

NOTE: If a new team decides to purchase their own uniforms, they must be approved by the league prior to purchase.  There is also a $150 extra fee since no Legends uniforms will be purchased.



Team registration pays off in most cases. 


Other Important info:


  1. $70 for each new uniform needed will be charged during individual registrations (new teams can bring own league-approved uniforms - contact us for details)
  2. All out-of-county fees will be waived
  3. Teams may have as many players as desired, with a minimum of 7
  4. Team registration and payment must be within 3 weeks of the start of the season




· Each team will have one (1) game per week.

· Each game will be for (1) hour.

· There will be a 15-minute “break” in between each game. No teams in a subsequent game may enter the gym until both teams in the preceding game have exited the gym. Both teams in the subsequent game must remain in their cars until the teams in the preceding game have fully left the gym.

· At this point, 12 spectators per team are permitted in the gym during a game, BUT must be socially distanced at least 6 feet apart.. We will revisit this as we get closer to game time and during the season, and will update this guideline as warranted.

· Masks must be worn upon entry to the facility by all participants at all times, including players, coaches, and officials. This includes players who are actively practicing and/or playing.

· There will be no jump ball to start the game. The home team will begin the game by inbounding the ball under their basket (no press defense at this point).

· Players must not share water bottles.

· Players on the sidelines should socially distanced as much as possible.

· Coaches and players should bring hand sanitizer to use at a before and after the game and also during the game on the sidelines as much as possible.

· Coaches must bring the team thermometer to check the temperature of each player on their team.

· The home team is responsible for wiping down (i.e., sanitizing) the score table and clock before each game, while the visiting team is responsible for wiping down the score table and clock after each game.

· The home team provides the game ball, which must be wiped down (i.e., sanitized) prior to providing the game ball to the game officials. The home team must sanitize the ball during time outs and between quarters and at halftime.

· The temperature of each player MUST be taken before each game by the respective team’s coaches.

· The temperature of each referee MUST be taken by the home team prior to the start of each game.

· Anyone with a temperature above 98.6 degrees will not be permitted to enter the facility and must leave immediately.



· Stay home if you have a fever (temperature above 98.6 degrees) or are sick and/or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or the flu.

· Bring your own uniform, ball, water bottle, and other equipment to each practice and game.

· Bring your own mask and hand sanitizer to each practice and game and use regularly throughout both and in accordance with this policy.

· Wear a mask at all times while in the facility, either when actively practicing or playing or while sitting on the sidelines and not actively participating in a practice or game.

· Follow the drop-off and pick-up guidelines laid out in this policy.

· Do not share your equipment with anyone else.

· Follow your coach’s instructions as related to this policy.



· Stay home if you have a fever (temperature above 98.6 degrees) or are sick and/or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or the flu.

· Must wear a mask.

· Must practice social distancing as much as possible during and in between games.

· Must limit contact with equipment during the game as much as possible, with the exception of the game basketball.



Failure to comply with any guideline laid out in this policy will result in the offending team’s immediate dismissal from Little Legends 2020-21 winter season. No refund will be provided to any team that is dismissed for failure to comply with this policy.
