UVRF - Lebanon Crew - Spring 2017

Note: This program is open to 8th graders and high school age students from Lebanon High School and other area schools without rowing programs.
Duration: Monday, March 13, 2017 - Monday, June 5, 2017 (12 weeks)
NO PRACTICE April Break - (April 15 - April 23).
Optional Pre-Season Erg workouts: For experienced and new rowers on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Lebanon High School, Room 8 from Monday March 6 - Friday March 10, 2017.
NOTE: Rowers must provide their own transportation to practices and to races - carpooling is highly encouraged and usually available.
After School Info Sessions:
- Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 2:15 - 3:00 p.m. - 8th Graders! Come meet coaches and the team captains, ask questions, pick up information. Location Lebanon Middle School (Room 238)
- Monday, February 27, 2017 - 2:45 - 3:30 p.m. High Schoolers (and 8th graders) Come meet coaches and the team captains, ask questions, pick up information. Location Lebanon High School (Room 6).
- Mandatory Parent-Athlete Meeting - Wednesday, March 1, 2017 - 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Location Lebanon High School Cafeteria. Come hear about the program, ask questions, meet the coaches, rowers and other parents and learn about Lebanon crew.
Week 1 (Monday, March 13 - Friday March 17)
Practice will be daily from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Dartmouth College Alumni Gym (we will be using the rowing tanks in the basement of the gym - enter through the main entrance off of East Wheelock Street). FIRST WEEK OF PRACTICE - if you're not sure if you want to commit or not, come give it a try for FREE - no commitment!
Week 2 and 3:
Times and locations will vary between Lebanon High School and/or Dartmouth Alumni Gym (tanks) morning/afternoon/evening depending on facility availability. There will be some morning practices! We will go on the water as soon as the ice is out, the dock is in and the conditions are safe.
Week 3 or 4 - Week 12:
Once we are on the water, practices are at the Kendal Riverfront Park Rowing Dock (parking available at the site) located at 84 Lyme Road (Route 10), 2 miles north of Hanover. Monday - Thursday - 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Fridays - 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 29 at the Dublin School v. Dublin.
Sunday May 7 - at Hookset v. Central, Bedford
Saturday May 13 at Berwick Academy
Sunday, May 21 - at HOME - Granite State Fours Cup (Brewster Academy, Dublin, Derryfield)
Saturday, May 27 at HOME v. Hollis-Brookline and Pinkerton Academy/Londonderry HS/Memorial HS
Sunday June 4 at HOME - Sleigh Cup/Hanover High School Invitational
Cost: $350 (includes racing shirt, race entry fees, facilities fees, etc.) NO CHARGE FOR COXSWAINS!

Swim Test/Safety Video: All rowers who have not taken the swim test will be taking one during a regularly scheduled practice. All rowers must watch the U.S. Rowing Safety Video which will be shown during a practice before we go on the water.
Attendance at ALL practices and races
Participation in team fundraising events, most importantly the Friends of Lebanon Crew Prouty Team – either before or hopefully at The Prouty (Saturday July 8, 2017).
