Intro To Lacrosse Clinic

@ The Great Pumpkin Shootout Tournament at Hopkins HS on Sat, Oct 26th, from 9:30-11 am
What: This is an introductory clinic for beginner boys and girls looking to try lacrosse (in grades 2nd -6th). The clinic is part of the 2nd annual Great Pumpkin Shootout Tournament, so you will get to see youth, high school and college lacrosse being played at Hopkins High School on Sat & Sun,  Oct 26-27th. Plus, clinic participants get to learn the fundamental skills of the game and compete in the “Great Pumpkin Shooting Contest” for Halloween candy during the clinic.

When: Saturday, October 26th
Co-Ed Clinic for 2-4th graders 9:30am-11am  (Check in at 9:15am)
Co-Ed Clinic for 5-6th graders 9:30am-11am  (Check in at 9:15am)
Where: Hopkins High School (on the practice turf next to the HHS football stadium) off Cedar Lake Rd in Minnetonka. Where to Park: The closest parking is available in the Hopkins North Junior High lot next to Hopkins High School. The field is actually behind North Junior High and on the west side of HHS.
Who Can Attend: Anyone from the Twin Cities interested in trying lacrosse for the first time can attend. Instruction will be provided by college, high school and youth association coaches and players. Local youth association information will be available for those looking to play in the spring or summer. Existing players are encouraged to help instruct and bring their friends to try lacrosse.
How Much? It’s just $5 and all the equipment is provided for the clinic. All you have to do is register and fill out the waiver online at the Homegrown Lacrosse website:
What Equipment Do I Need? Just come dressed for the weather conditions and bring water. We supple all the equipment (lacrosse sticks & soft lacrosse balls).
PARENTS MEETING/PLAYER CHECK-IN: Coffee will be available for the parents at the player check-in from 9:15-9:30 am. We will also have a Youth Association Coach speak briefly about the history of the sport, how to sign-up your child for lacrosse and answer any questions you may have about the sport.
