Dana Drever (Cav 2020) - The Cavalier Girls program is co-led by Dana Drever. Dana has been involved with the game of lacrosse for over 20 years. She played lacrosse at the high school level, college level and for the USWLA National Midwest Team. She received many honors including all-district, all-region, all-state and MVP. Dana was the head coach for the Stone Bridge High School Girls’ Varsity team from its inception through 2007. During that time she led the team to two undefeated seasons, two district championships and was named coach of the year two years in a row. She has coached numerous indoor winter league teams and ran a summer lacrosse camp for high school players. Dana has also worked with the Dominion High School team during their off-season.
Kristen Freudiger (Cav 2020) - The Cavalier Girls program is co-led by Kristen Freudiger. Kristen grew up in Canada where she played boys box lacrosse as a goalie. She went on to Limestone college in Gaffney, SC. Kristen is a 2005 & 2006 1st team All-American and 2005 NCAA Defensive Player of The Year. While at Limestone, her Saints squad went to the NCAA tournament in 2005 and 2006. She was team Captain multiple times. She then went on to play for Team Canada and was later the head coach at South Lakes High School.
Hilary Murray (Cav 2021) - Hilary’s love for the game started at an early age playing pick up with her large, lacrosse-loving family in Charlottesville, VA. She spent many summers as a kid playing summer league for Seminole Lacrosse. She went on to play attack at Albemarle High School and midfield and attack for the George Mason University club team where she also served as Captain her senior year. Prior to moving to Northern VA, Hilary spent three years as a lacrosse coach at Brownsville Elementary School in Crozet, VA. Hilary lives in Leesburg and is excited to join the Cavs family as Assistant Coach of the 2021 team.
Don West (Cav 2021) - Don enjoys all aspects of the game of lacrosse. He continues to play, coach and is also a High School referee. Don was Lake Braddock's varsity high school coach for 15 years. During his time at Lake Braddock he led his team to 4 district championships and the team went to regionals every year. Don was also the assistant coach for the women's lacrosse team at Shenandoah University. Coach West currently coaches at Edision High School and is entering his 4th year where they have gone to regionals every year. In addition to coaching Don has played for Washington Wave, a pro indoor lacrosse team, as a goalie and continues to play an adult travel team where he travels to Florida, Lake Placid and Vail.
Natalie Drever (Cav 2022) - Natalie has put her heart into playing and coaching lacrosse for over 13 years. She was a four year varsity letter winner at Dominion High School where she received multiple awards and served as team captain, while also volunteer coaching for Algonkian Tribe. During high school she was also a member of the Cardinal 2013 Red Team which was nationally ranked as 45th best in the USA. She went on to play Division I Varsity Lacrosse, and later became the founder, president, and 2015 MVP of the Women's Club Lacrosse Team at Mount St. Mary's University. At the Mount she pursued her B.S. in Business and Management. During college, Natalie started coaching club lacrosse for the Cardinal 2019 Red Team and transitioned to Cavalier Lacrosse where she coached clinics and winter league. In Spring 2017, Natalie served on the Varsity Girls Lacrosse program for Heritage High School, and coached private lessons for individuals and small groups. She is excited to kick off the season and help her players grow and develop through the lacrosse world.
Devin Stubbs (Cav 2022) Devin Stubbs took an interest to lacrosse from watching her sister play at Dominion High School. She began playing youth league in 5th grade for the Ashburn Bandits and hasn’t stopped since. Stubbs went on to join the Ashburn Warriors travel team in the 6th grade upon its creation. She was starting goalie for both her travel team and youth league, both being located in Ashburn. Stubbs was trained by Harry Alford, a former MLL player and goalie at University of Maryland. Stubbs went on to play at Dominion High School on the varsity women’s lacrosse team for 3 years as starting goalie. She served as captain her senior year. Stubbs currently attends Radford University, she is pursuing her B.S. in Media Studies Journalism. She will graduate in May 2019 and move on to a graduate program in Sports Management. Coach Stubbs is excited for the season and to be fully emerged in lacrosse once again! Let’s go Cavs!
Mark O'Brien (Cav 2023/2024) Mark grew up in Springfield, VA, and attended West Springfield High School where he was a multi-year all-district/all-region lacrosse player and was named to the 1992 All-American team his senior year. Mark was one of the first public high school players out of Northern Virginia to ever play on scholarship at a top tier Division I program, Loyola College (Baltimore, MD) (now Loyola University), where he was a first-line midfielder for the Greyhounds his junior and senior year. Mark played in the NCAA Division I tournament all four years at Loyola where his team narrowly missed the final four his sophomore year when the Greyhounds lost to Brown University in OT. Mark received All-American honors his senior year at Loyola, tallying 25 goals that year against some of the toughest programs in the country. Since graduating from college, Mark has been an active member of the lacrosse community, where he has coached both girls and boys lacrosse for many years. Mark just completed (spring 2018) his fourth season coaching girls lacrosse with the Ashburn Bandits.
Sam Chamberlin (Cav 2023/24) - Sam grew up in Reston where she played youth lacrosse on the Herndon/Reston team. She then played varsity lacrosse for South Lakes and served as team captain. Coach Sam has refereed girls lacrosse for 3 years and has experience playing on a travel team as both a low attacker and goalie. After graduating Virginia Tech in 2016 Sam coached Chantilly youth. She is looking forward to coaching her first Cavs season!
Lara Duffy (Cav 2023/2024)- Coach Lara grew up in the area and played youth lacrosse with Coach Abby and Coach Sam on the Herndon/Reston team. She continued to play varsity at South Lakes. Lara took a hiatus during her time at JMU where she was a member of the women's ultimate frisbee team, but began her coaching career soon after graduation in 2016 for Chantilly youth.
Abby Reed (Cav 2025)- Coach Abby comes to Cavs with a wealth of lacrosse playing experience and a true passion for the game. Abby played youth lacrosse in Reston. She attended South Lakes High School where she served as team captain. Abby played her club lacrosse days with Capital Lacrosse Club. Abby went on to play collegiate lacrosse at Wesleyan University where she also served as team Captain. She has coached for Herndon/Reston, Cardinal travel club and is a certified swim instructor and lifeguard. Coach Abby is currently pursing a career in clinical psychology.
Taylor Pascale (Cav 2025) - Taylor is from Ashburn and played varsity lacrosse all four years and was a two year captain at Stone Bridge High School. While playing at Stone Bridge, Taylor received many honors including First Team All-District, Athletic Honor Roll, First Team All-State, Academic All-American, First Team All-Region and Regional Defender of the Year. Taylor also set a school record on most turnovers in a season. Taylor went on to play Division 1 lacrosse at Coastal Carolina University where she was named by the Big South Freshman of the Week. Due to injury her lacrosse career ended early, but she remained part of the team. At Coastal, Taylor majored in Graphic Design and was on Coastal Carolina's President's List and Dean's List. Taylor has been coaching lacrosse for 5 years.
JP Foley (Cav 2025) - Growing up in a sports oriented family, competitive sports, fitness and coaching have been a part of JP’s life since his youngest years. As a three-sport varsity athlete & captain at Oakton High School, JP garnered multiple all-region and state team recognitions, culminating with collegiate soccer. JP has transitioned over the last 10 years to a coaching ‘career’ within youth soccer and lacrosse. JP is immersed in the youth lacrosse movement in Northern Virginia, through coaching travel ball as part of the elite Cavs coaching staff and coaching extensively within the Dulles South program, coupled with founding Complete Sports Management, an organization focused on the positive health of youth sports in the region. JP has served in all youth lacrosse capacities, including board member, age group coordinator, and primarily as a US Lacrosse certified coach with on-field experience at EVERY youth level, from “mini-scoopers” through varsity high school.
Mike Conner (Cav 2025) - Mike grew up in Kings Park, N.Y. in Suffolk County on Long Island. He played midfield and attack in high school. He then went south to Radford University, playing attack on the Division I program. Mike graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine in 1994. He has three daughters who enjoy a variety of sports: lacrosse, gymnastics, swimming and basketball. Mike volunteers his time coaching a couple of local club teams in the spring, and coaching the 2025 Girls Cavs team as an assistant coach to co-head coaches Abby Reed and JP Foley.
Emilee Kucheruk (Cav 2026/2027) Our new team will be led by head coach, Emilee Kucheruk. Emilee has been involved with lacrosse for over 11 years. Her first steps into the sport were in 2nd grade when her older brother began playing. She began playing when she was 13 and was coached by her mother, a former lacrosse player. Emilee was a captain and three-year Varsity starter at Dominion High School and was dubbed "the utility player" as she played defense, midfield and attack. While attending Lynchburg College, she was a four-year defensive starter for the women's club lacrosse team which she later became President and Treasurer from 2014-2016. During her senior year, she was the head coach for the E.C. Glass JV Girls' Lacrosse team. In 2018, she helped coach Herndon High School's JV and Varsity Girls' Lacrosse teams to winning seasons. Emilee continues to play summer lacrosse and trains in her free time. She graduated from Lynchburg College with a BA in Studio Art and a minor is Psychology, and is currently studying Occupational Therapy through St. Catherine University. She looks forward to her first year coaching with Cavalier Lacrosse.
