USA Hockey SafeSport Program
USA Hockey has ZERO TOLERANCE for abuse and misconduct.
The safety of its youth participants is of paramount importance to USA Hockey. This includes not only on-ice safety, but also off-ice
safety in any part of USA Hockey’s programs.
The SafeSport Program Handbook addresses policies prohibiting:
Threats and Harassment
The Policies also address areas where misconduct can occur and are intended to reduce the risk of potential abuse, including a Locker Room Policy, a Social Media, Mobile and Electronic Communications Policy, a Travel Policy, a Billeting Policy and an Education and Awareness Training Policy.
A USA Hockey member or parent of any member who (1) violates any of the SafeSport Policies or (2) fails to consent to, and pass a screening and background check in compliance with the Screening and Background Check Program, may be denied eligibility within any USA Hockey programs and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action including but not limited to suspension, permanent suspension, and/or referral to law enforcement authorities.
