Effort - Character - Fun

Fort Worth Youth Lacrosse Association is a non profit 501 (c) 3 governed by a volunteer board. FWYLA was founded in June of 2009 with a 5/6th grade team consisting of 20 players.

In 2017 the FWYLA Lacrosse program included 2 High School boys teams, 3 Youth boys teams, 1 Youth girls team, 1 Bantam boys team, and 1 Bantam girls team...this is over 175 players in total.

Starting in 2014 the FWYLA Bantam and Youth Lacrosse teams began participating in the DFW Youth Lacrosse League.  DFWL  includes all major  bantam and youth lacrosse teams in North Texas.

For player eligibility rules please review the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) Rule book, section 8 regarding eligibility… www.thsll.org.  See documents for most recent THSLL Rule Book.

For eligibility on Fort Worth Youth Lacrosse Association high school team our club’s home school is R.L. Paschal High School at 3001 Forest Park Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76110.

Some of the current club teams that are in and around Fort Worth (this is in no way a comprehensive list…please see teams listed on THSLL site):

All Saints (HS and 7th/8th)

FWYLA will follow the THSLL eligibility rules for player at the HS level.  Address and high school attended will be checked upon registration.

At the 8th grade level and lower the rules are not quite as clear from the DFWLacrosse Association (which manages play in these grades).  We are trying to find out more information from DFWL but for now we suggest using the THSLL eligibility rules for 8th grade and lower.

We encourage all boys to be involved in multiple sports throughout the year.  The combination of playing multiple sports and playing wall-ball throughout the year makes great lacrosse players.
