Minnetonka Baseball Association is a program of service to the youth of our community. It is geared to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training under good leadership in an atmosphere of wholesome community participation.

Since this is a tournament you cannot cancel within 5 days of shift. • Tournament Liaison: The responsibilities of this role are mainly the ""at - the - park"" communication point of contact between the Tournament Director and the teams: 1) if you are the first shift of the day, check in at the field concession stand and grab the Tournament Liaison Binder (this will contain: game schedule, extra umpire scorecards, volunteer list, relevant contacts, and Tournament Rules). 2) if you are not the first shift of the day, check in with the Tournament Liaison you are changing shifts with to grab the Tournament Liaison Binder.3) check in with each Score Keeper before, during and after the games to make sure there are no issues the Tournament Director should be aware of4) If there is an emergency / medical assistance needed, work with the appropriate personnel to get ice / or call 911 as deemed necessary (if 911 is called also call MBA Tournament Director). 5) assist in communicating scheduling changes due to game delays / weather changes / tournament modifications as necessary (communication will most likely come from the MBA Tournament Director or umpire as necessary).6) after the completion of each game, obtain the signed scorecard from the respective score keeper and enter the 1) Game results, 2) pitcher's jersey number and number of pitches thrown during the game into TourneyMachine 7) discuss any matters of importance / issues / noteworthy items with the following Tournament Liaison Volunteer.8) If there are any questions communicate with the Tournament Director, Matt Walker 612-599-5253.

Score Keeper: The responsibilities of this role are: 1) check in at the field concession stand to grab the equipment (if first game of the day) and a umpire scorecard, 2) if the equipment is not out, set up the scoreboard equipment, 3) score the innings, balls, strikes, outs, runs, etc on the scoreboard for the entire game, 4) obtaining from the umpire the final signed score card (signed by the umpire and both coaches) - - this will have the final score AND each teams appropriate pitch count, 5) clear the scoreboard for the following game, o 6) If you are the last game on the field, you are also responsible for returning the score equipment to the proper place for charging. o 7) Turn in the score card to the Tournament Liaison so the scores can be reported in TourneyMachine. o If there are any questions communicate with the Tournament Liaison who will be at all of the fields during the entire Tournament.
